Introduction of Akeeyo 360° Mirror Dashcam

 Tell uh first of all we can see what's going on inside the vehicle we can see every detail besides that we can see what's going on in front of the vehicle and also we can see what's going on in the back and also we can see what's going on the left side and on the right side this camera can also be used as a front dash cam show you guys how it works you just have to turn it like this and right now the camera will be focused mainly on the front view so it won't record everything what's going on inside the cabin uh this can be useful if you don't want to record yourself and in case if you are uber or lift driver at any moment you can turn back this way and now you can capture the whole 360 degree view in order to be able to see this image you will need to use the software that comes installed on the sd card this is digital mirror and this is what i'm using right now to show you this uh image what's also cool about this product is the fact that it has a extra rear view camera and it has the side view uh blind spot camera as well we'll show you how all these cameras work together we'll show you the features that this product has and we'll show you how it records the video

Digital Mirror Modes

  Our digital mirror is on and this is the 360 degree camera that i'm i was talking about this is how it looks quite interesting idea in my opinion as i said before you can change the position of this camera like that and the digital screen also shows you the view either the front view or the ink interior 360 degree view like we see it right now so in this mode right now we can see three different images this one is a 360 degree view right here we have the rear view as i said before we have the rear view camera installed in the vehicle which is located on the rear windshield over there and also here we can see the uh side view camera angle can be adjusted like that and the camera itself is located underneath the rear view mirror i'll quickly show you guys what else this camera has so yeah they're actually lots of different modes which you can change 

360 View

This is the first one that i showed you here we have the here you can actually swipe as you can see and this shows you the 360 degree view it's cut off slightly on top and the bottom but it gives you an idea what uh the camera this is 360 degree camera sees right now 

Besides that we have this mode as well so in this mode we have the uh side view uh in the front uh sorry in the center of the mirror and on the right and left side on the left we can see the left view of the 360 degree camera and the right view as well which you can adjust uh by the way you can actually change uh the view of this uh center section but to do that you have to actually right now it shows us the side view camera which is connected right here and this is the rear camera which is connected right here so if you want to see the rear camera instead of the side view you just have to switch these two connectors so that's another mode that this mirror. 

Now this will continue to the four uh views in one screen again this 360 degree i don't think you'll use it as much but this camera has this mode and again we have the side view camera and the rear view camera 

Back and Side Camera

The next one is this one this one is a one of the most important modes in my opinion because this gives you two views of the rear of what's going on behind the vehicle the actual uh rear view camera which will be used the most and you can quickly switch to the side view camera this becomes especially useful if uh uh when you park your vehicle because this tells you the distance to the curb but we'll show you guys how this works shortly the last mode is almost same in this one it's just this image is slightly wider than this one

Okay guys right now we'll go for a short drive will show you how this mirror records the video will show you again how the 360 degree camera works right now i will switch to the rear slash side view and as i said it's very conveniently can be changed to either so if i want just the rear view i just tap twice and it gives me the rear view i'll go back i'll show you guys balls right now so you have an idea how it looks even though you have this option of split uh screen right now i still think that the best way to use it is to have uh the rear view taking all the screen but when you need to park this comes in very handy and again guys our uh 360 degree uh view camera right now points down this means that it records everything it records what's going on inside the cabin and it records basically everything that it sees.

It sees what's going on the front in the back and on the sides as well this is quite cool if you ask me it gives a lot of a lot of advantage for uber or lyft drivers this way you can can completely see everything inside and outside of the vehicle but as i said before you do need to use the software that comes with this camera in order to be able to see it this way i will change the view well basically i will turn the camera to the front right now and now the camera works at the front camera it doesn't show us what's going on inside the cabin anymore i believe you can only see my steering wheel and my hands but you don't see what's going on in the back of the vehicle so i will turn it back 360 degree view again and you can see actually the person behind our vehicle just passed i'm not sure if i have mentioned this but you can adjust the angle of the rear camera as well as the side view camera like this i will quickly show you guys again all different modes that we can use number one gives us three different views number two the only difference here believe is that you have you can actually rotate the 360 degree view for this one and yes you can see the speed right here for this for the third one we have this view is left and right side being visible and now we'll switch again if you ask me it's kind of interesting to see what's going on but in terms of functionality it doesn't really work so i'm not i don't think you'll be using this one when you drive and i'll switch to this one again as i said this is one of the best options and this one is the best option for driving because now you can see what's going on behind the vehicle 

Side View Camera Parallel Parking

By having this side view mirror you can also eliminate the blind spots on the right side so right now i don't see this silver vehicle in my side view mirror but as you can see on the screen the lexus can be clearly visible right now we'll find a spot and i'll show you guys how this view improves your parallel parking i'll park behind this one the corolla yes we do have our rear view mirror we can also use our side view mirror and this new camera gives us another tool to improve our parking so as you can see it shows us so right now i'm looking at this one and i'll actually make it big and adjust it this way or maybe not maybe i'll just do it like that for now this will show us how much room we have to the curb and as you can see i can get really really close without scratching the wheels 

Night Time 360 Degree camera reviews

Right now I'll show you guys how the mirror works at night right now we have our rear view camera on the left and the side view camera on the right [Music] as i said before i can easily switch between these two by double tapping on the screen so i can have either the side view camera like this or the rear view camera and right now we'll show you how the 360 degree uh interior camera records the video at night right now it's recording the whole interior plus everything else that it sees outside and right now i will switch the camera to the to the front view only 

Mirror Dashcam settings and video playback

i'll show you guys the menu right now uh the first button uh starts and stops video recording i'll turn it on the second one takes the picture this button saves the current file from being overwritten settings will work once you stop video recording now you can go to settings and i'll quickly show you what we have here screen brightness we have three different settings low medium and high i'll just leave it like that for the g sensor there are four of them i'll set it to low uh you can turn it off as well uh frequency 1560 hertz record voice yes it's on you can mirror the image for both the side camera and the rear camera and the screen saver is off language can be changed and these are the options that we have on these three and now it's gonna be a challenge for me to change it back maybe not english time zone you can change it here hud mode hd mode means that the camera shows you the speed direction and clock on the right side here uh speed units kilometers per hour you can change it to miles per hour you can format so the uh sd card from here you can set it to factory settings and this is the software version so it's all pretty straight forward to view what you have recorded you have to stop video recording first and go right here and this will show you all the recorded video for all three different cameras so this is the 360 degree view right here we have the uh side view camera and this will show us what has been recorded in the back of the vehicle

Unboxing and Installation

Let's see what comes inside the box set comes with the anti-glare screen protector let's see how it looks we have some wipes here and there are actually three of them right here and here is our mirror it has large 12 inch screen on the bottom we have the interior 360 degree view camera which can also work as a front camera as i said before by adjusting it this way so if you turn it like this it will work at the front camera if you turn it this way when it faces down it will show you the 360 degree view the resolution of this camera is 1920 by 1920 pixels on the top we have the main usb power port we have two ports for the uh rear and the side view cameras we have the sd card pre-installed in the set i believe it's 32 gigabytes let me see yes it is 32 gigabytes but it can handle sd cards up to 256 gigabytes you can actually get one of those on their website as well and here we have the gps port for the mounting it comes with these hooks and we have rubber straps in the set as well here we have our main usb power cable this is how it looks this is the rear camera cable again this is the connectors that it has i believe the length is 6 meters or 10 feet this is a rear camera the resolution is full hd it's been mounted by using the 3m tape you can rotate it through 360 degrees and right here we have our side view camera this is a cable the camera itself can be i believe it can be disconnected like this this will allow you for easy installation uh the set also comes with this pad for in order to install it on underneath the rear view side mirror so this can fix the convolution of the mirror but you won't necessarily need it it depends on the design of your rear view mirror besides that uh the camera itself can be adjusted like this and also it's made of rubber and it's very light which will ensure that it will it will stick properly to the underside of the mirror right here we have the rubber tubing which can be used to run your wires uh in some areas of the vehicle set comes with a hardwiring cable here it is this can be used to activate the parking mode in the rav4 but keep in mind that this mirror only has the g sensors so it will uh only activate when vehicle senses the collision uh it does not come with the motion detection uh besides that as you can see it already has a standard mini few steps installed so if you want to install this uh kit in the rav4 you will have to replace these ones with the mini low profile few steps set comes with the gps module this is how it looks and again it uses 3m tape to get attached to the windshield here we also have some cleaning cloths for the screen and we have two sets of different size rubber straps for the rough four we'll be using these ones and right now we're going to install the mirror first of all we'll push this lever to the back and our mirror goes on top like this and as i said before we'll be using these rubber straps to secure it in place there is one and here comes the second one as you can see installation is very simple the mirror is secure right now i'm going to connect the power cable uh we won't show you the whole process of running the wires we actually made a few other videos before how this is done so i'll leave that in the description this way you guys can take a look at that as well but the idea is quite simple power cable gets connected like that and the wire will basically proceed this way and will go underneath the steering wheel and will reach this plug right here gps gets connected right here in the middle and gps will go someplace like this and this is where i will install the side view mirror approximately in this area like this to properly install the wire ideally you need to drill a small hole in the plastic somewhere around here and then the wire will proceed inside the door until it reaches this rubber tube right here and this way you'll be able to pull it inside the cabin and then it will go up and towards the mirror the side view camera will get connected right here rear camera gets installed approximately right here it's very light which is good this means it will hold properly the rear view camera gets connected to this port 

Conclusion 

our review is complete i think this is a very interesting product the fact that it has this 360 degree camera makes it stand out in my opinion in this market it's definitely beneficial for the ride sharing drivers or anybody else who wants to have the whole 360 view being recorded around the vehicle besides that we have the rear camera and we have the side view camera which will help you park better and it will eliminate the blind spots on the right side of the vehicle the only thing that i would probably change or add to this digital mirror is i would have an extra front dedicated camera so they could either install it on the right side like this um then this way you could use this one only as the interior 360 degree camera and have this extra front view camera opposed to use this one as either the front or the interior 360 degree view camera there are other solutions on the market obviously you can use a different front camera we actually did another installation not so long ago it's uh fitcomax dashcam which gets installed in place of this plastic cover this actually could work well with this new camera also i will leave the link in the description for both for the ikea and for the 5k max as well thank you guys for watching i hope this video was helpful we'll see you in the next video you
